30 Minutes in the Life - June Edition!

This was one beautiful Memorial Day weekend. Not only was the weather perfect, but our favorite restaurant Claudios was back open for the season! Nothings beats a day on the North Fork with family, friends and some great food and tasty beverages!!!!!

For those peeps that aren’t familiar with Long Island, it’s kind of shaped like a fish. The tail end is split into two different forks. Everyone knows the south fork - AKA the Hamptons / Montauk etc. As lovely as it is, it’s expensive and gets super crowded once the season starts. The lesser known North Fork however is a real hidden gem. It’s filled with farmland, sea towns and beaches. It has a similar feel to the Hamptons, but way less crowded. There are so many wonderful places to explore.

Greenport is one of our favorite North Fork towns to visit. It was once a major sea port for fishing and whaling - but even more so for bootlegging during the prohibition. It’s definitely my kind of place.

It has a great old town / New England vibe to it.

For the kiddos, everyone flocks to the antique carousel at Mitchell Park. It features vintage painted horses and a ring dispenser. The kids are OBSESSED with going for the brass ring. If you get it, you win a turn… and bragging rights for the rest of the summer.

After a few rides on the carousel, we spent some time just relaxing in the sun and eating ice cream. What could be more perfect?

That sums up our 30 minutes for June! Thank you for stopping by! Please be sure to follow along the blog circle, and see what my amazingly talented friend Sharleen Stuart is up to this month by clicking HERE.
